K9-Quencher
K9-QUENCHER is a healthy, completely safe, canine sport drink. Our rationale is vital for many essential functions in the body. During exercise the body’s fluid level can become depleted as a result of increased perspiration, which can lead to dehydration in the absence of adequate fluid replacement. Dehydration at any level is associated with a reduction in sports performance.Re-hydration beverages allow canine athletes to replace these fluids and provide some additional carbohydrates used for energy production. All these substances; water, electrolytes, and carbohydrates, are lost during exercise. Higher intensity exercise requires a higher degree of energy production and fluid replacement. Each canine athletic will vary as to the amount of replacement they require. More than just electrolytes are lost during moderate exercise, hence the need for an increased water component via K9-QUENCHER. During exercise, the muscles generate heat, which causes an elevation in core body temperature. To prevent the core body temperature from rising excessively, the thermoregulator system cuts in. This heat is transferred from the muscles to the blood, then from the blood to the lungs and to the pads of a dog’s feet, where the heat can escape into the atmosphere through the evaporation process (panting & sweat between the pads). Evaporation assists in keeping the core body temperature low. High temperatures, humidity, and strenuous exercise will all increase the amount of fluid
